Our Comprehensive Dental Services

Pediatric dentistry includes monitoring the development of baby and adult teeth and providing care that prevents cavities and decay from early on. Services include sealants and fluoride, dental check-ups, frenectomies, fillings, and more.

Preventive dentistry is a large focus of our office as it allows us to care for teeth conservatively before oral conditions become serious. Services include fluoride, routine exams and x-rays, oral cancer screenings, and proactive treatment.

An occlusal adjustment alters the biting surface of uneven or misshapen teeth so they fit correctly when biting down. An even bite can ease headaches, relieve jaw soreness or pain, and reduce or stop muscle spasms related to malocclusion.

Teeth grinding treatment includes a custom nightguard worn over the teeth. This protects the teeth from being ground and clenched during sleep, and evens out the pressure across the upper jaw to reduce stress to the joints and muscles.

TMJ treatment for teeth grinding (bruxism) and jaw clenching can include BOTOX®, which helps to minimize muscle movement and spasming, and customized oral appliances that protect teeth from excessive wear and damage.

Resin composite fillings made of ceramic and plastic materials take the place of traditional amalgam fillings. These tooth-colored fillings are more aesthetic and can be used to fill minor cavities or improve the appearance of chipped teeth.

Dental inlays and onlays are tooth-colored restorations bonded to the teeth to restore natural shape and strength. Inlays are commonly used when a cavity is too large for a normal filling. Onlays cover larger portions of the tooth surface.

A frenectomy removes the fold of soft tissue, the frenulum, that is causing restricted movement of the upper lip or tongue. This quick surgery helps improve speaking and eating, and normal function of teeth.

Scaling and root planing is the non-surgical approach to treating gum disease. Scaling removing plaque and tartar buildup from above and below the gum line. Root planing smooths the tooth surface to help healthy gums reattach to teeth.

A gingivectomy is the surgical removal of gum tissue around tooth crowns. This procedure can be cosmetic to improve a “gummy” smile or functional to remove diseased soft tissue caused by a buildup of plaque and tartar on the teeth.

Periodontal maintenance is routine deep cleanings of the teeth every 3-4 months after treatment for gum disease is complete. This maintenance ensures that the teeth remain healthy and free from bacteria due to plaque buildup.
